Using the Library

Any resident of Scott County may use the library's services by signing an application card and agreeing to observe the rules and regulations of the library. Children under 18 years of age must have their parent or legal guardian register for them. The child's parent or legal guardian must be with them at all times.
All patrons entitled to borrow books from the library will be given a barcode identification card that must be presented whenever materials are borrowed from the library. If the card is lost, a new card will be ordered upon payment of $3.00. Library cards expire four years from the date of issuance and may be renewed.

To register for a library card, one must be a resident of Scott County and must provide a reference for address verification and two proofs of identification--a picture ID from List A and proof of permanent address from List B.
